We added a 500sf ADU over our garage and used Steady Builders as our general contractor. Frank, Janna, Jack, and all of the subcontractors were great to work with. Original estimate for the project was six months, and final inspection passed in a little less than five months. This was largely due to Steady using their own workers for the majority of the work and then doing a great job of scheduling subcontractors to come in and do their work exactly when it was needed. There were some days when 4-5 subs were all on site. Steady also allowed me to save money by doing most of the finish work myself…a real plus if you are a DIY-er! Overall, Steady provided high quality workmanship, knowledge of the necessary building codes and experience working with the various inspectors. The best compliment we receive (and can give) is when our neighbors and friends tell us, “This ADU doesn’t look like an addition…it looks like it was part of the original house!”
